ABOUT US

The Holiday Boutique concept grew out of necessity and has endured because of the love and dedication of volunteers. One day, two members from the local San Fernando Valley Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated (SFVJJ) visited with L. Dianne Kennedy and Nydia Barakat of Penny Lane and discussed a wonderful idea that could help their clients during the holiday season. Those two women, Kathryn Bailey Cunningham and Deanna Thomas worked hand in hand with Penny Lane and the SFVJJ Chapter to bring joy to those in need. The concept: collect as many donations from their families and friends and get those donations into the hands of children, teens and families from Penny Lane. A one day event that was stocked with items that would bring anyone joy!

Today, the Holiday Boutique celebrates 14 years of bringing joy and happiness to hundreds of Penny Lane's clients. The one day "Shop for Free" has turned into a true multi-faceted event where Penny Lane clients enjoy shopping, a delicious meal, pictures with Santa and Star Wars characters, fun and engaging activities, live music, raffles and more! It truly is a magical day.

This holiday season more than any other is a time where everyone should know that they matter and that someone out there cares. We hope you will consider volunteering or donating. It will make a world of difference.
